Digital Marketing Manager/Specialist

If you live and breathe digital marketing, we want to talk to you. We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels.

What does a Digital Marketing Specialist do?

You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. Digital marketing Specialists will work with the marketing team, supporting teams (such as programmers), and vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create user interfaces and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing user interfaces and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Ad campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

Head of Customer Experience

The Head of Customer Experience engages our customers to drive adoption and demonstrate ongoing value. This critical function helps build Easy Matatu’s long-term competitive advantage, retain loyal customers and create strategies to increase the value customers derive from Easy Matatu. The Head of Customer Experience will work across all teams to uncover new ways to make Easy Matatu a better way to travel and to improve our product.

Responsibilities

  • Drive retention, usage, and growth among our new and most valuable customers by understanding their needs.
  • Manage and optimize the customer journey to improve onboarding, engagement and retention.
  • Working with the Data Analyst, draw insights from data, track KPI’s and present findings to the leadership team and stakeholders regularly.
  • Design initiatives and customer loyalty programs with a data-centric approach to increase customer retention and repeat usage.
  • Create & implement internal customer happiness metrics.
  • Work closely with the sales team, identifying and highlighting commercial opportunities.
  • Synthesize customer feedback and work with internal teams to respond to customer needs.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Success, Relationship Management, Account Management, or similar role.
  • The ability to analyze large data sets derive insight and present findings on a regular basis.
  • Experience managing a team including hiring, onboarding and training.
  • Results-driven mentality, with a bias for speed and action.
  • Comfort in a dynamic, start-up environment – we move quickly and wear many hats

Senior Software Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Architect to make intuitive high level decisions for our engineering team. You will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.

A great Senior Software Architect has a strong technical background and is well rounded in several aspects of software engineering and infrastructure. They are experienced in designing and possess ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineers to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
  • Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
  • Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
  • Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
  • Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
  • Approve final product before launch

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
  • Experience in software development and coding in various languages and frameworks
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data collection and analysis systems
  • Monitor core business metrics and identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst

We are looking for a committed, and flexible Operations Associate with organizational skills to coordinate our operations across different routes in the greater Kampala area and ensure Easy Matatu’s operations are seamless and meeting the standards we promise to our customers.

The specific duties of an Operations Associate include ensuring trips are run in a smooth and timely manner, constant communication with drivers to ensure availability and managing driver schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all trips run in a timely and smooth manner.
  • Ensure drivers book for trips on the app.
  • Ensure proper management of driver schedules and backups for every trip.
  • Ensure ride completion reports are sent in.

  • Minimum Bachelor/Diploma degree qualification
